Frequently asked questions
Clear answers for school proprietors, principals and administrators considering EDSEC's digital platform.
What does the EDSEC Standard School Digital Platform include?
A branded school website, admissions, student and staff records, role-based portals, academics, CBT examination workflows, report cards, school fees, attendance and parent communication. Exact modules and integrations are confirmed in the signed school scope.
What is the price?
₦250,000 one-time installation and setup, plus ₦25,000 per month for care, maintenance and management. Third-party charges and additional custom development are quoted separately when applicable.
Can schools outside Nigeria use the platform?
Yes. EDSEC accepts enquiries from schools worldwide. Pricing is officially in Nigerian naira; displayed foreign-currency conversions are indicative and final quotations are confirmed directly.
Can we see a demo before paying?
Yes. The interactive demo uses fictional data to illustrate different school roles and workflows. It is not access to a live client's private records.
How does the CBT approval process work?
Teachers prepare questions, ICT reviews them, and the Principal approves publication. Students then sit timed examinations. Objective answers can be auto-marked, while other answers can be reviewed by teachers.
Can parents monitor more than one child?
The planned parent portal supports linked children, so one guardian can view the relevant published results, attendance, notices and fee records for each linked child.
Does the system support Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools?
The platform scope includes report-card and academic workflows for Crèche/Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary levels, configured to the school's grading requirements.
Can schools collect fees online?
The platform supports fee records, balances and receipts. Payment gateway integration, such as Paystack where supported, is subject to school requirements, provider availability and applicable transaction charges.
How is student data protected?
The design uses role-based permissions, secure access controls and backup and restore verification. Each school must agree on its privacy, retention, access and operational requirements before launch.
How long does setup take?
The delivery timeline depends on school size, content readiness, records, required customisations and acceptance testing. EDSEC provides a school-specific schedule after discovery.
What does monthly management cover?
Agreed maintenance, hosting administration, routine updates, backups, bug fixes and operational assistance. Detailed response times and service limits are confirmed in the service agreement.
How do we get started?
